![]() The Costa del Sol has been one of the most popular destinations in Europe for four decades. The heady days of the seventies when Puerto Banus first stamped the seal of approval on the Costa del Sol and made Marbella the "place to be seen" for the rich and famous.
Since then the Costa del Sol, has
seen many changes - a great deal of construction and a large increase in

and well-heeled families moving to the coast on a permanent or semi-permanent

and for those that wish to live on the sun coast, there is now a myriad of
resale and off-plan property from which to choose - by the beach, on the
beautiful golf courses or in the stunning Andalucian countryside.

investors and end users the possibility of buying tomorrows property at todays
prices - hopefully accrueing a substantial gain in equity value on the way.
If you are considering investing
in a property on the Costa del Sol, bear in mind that the property is not a
quick way to make money, it is for life, so choose a property that meets your
requirements, whether that be as a first or second home or as a property that
can be rented out.
Typically developers will require
a 30% payment upon private contract plus IVA at 16%, with the remaining balance
off-set until completion of the property or community.

particularly of interest to future retirees that will not require the property
for a year or so and also for buyers of second homes who in many cases are able
to release equity gain from their primary residences to pay for the 30% deposit
and then have sufficient time to organise the end payment in cash or arrange a
